§ Mr. Harold WalkerThe strike by some 250 London Transport underground maintenance men began on 26th September. Officials of my Department have had talks with representatives of the London Transport Board and the two unions concerned but it was not possible to resolve the dispute. Following consultations with my officers, the T.U.C. is now discussing the matter with the unions.
