§ Mr. Hector Hughesasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs which countries have, in view of the constitutional and governmental changes during the last 10 years, given notification that they accept the compulsory jurisdiction of the Court of International Justice; what countries now accept that compulsory jurisdiction; and what countries have requested it during the last 10 years.
§ Mr. LuardThe answer which I gave my hon. Friend on 15th October also applies for the past ten years, except that, within that period, the Governments of Gambia, Honduras, Kenya, Malawi, Malta, Mexico, Nigeria, Somalia, and Uganda have also given formal notification for the first time that they accept the compulsory jurisdiction of the International Court of Justice.—[Vol. 788, c. 103.]
