§ Mr. Peter Millsasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will obtain from the chief constable a report on the reasons for moving the police headquarters from Okehampton to Launceston.
§ Mr. Elystan MorganThis matter has still to be considered by the police authority. The chief constable has recommended that Launceston should become the headquarters of the enlarged Launceston/Okehampton division because he considers that control and supervision of the division can be more effectively exercised there than from Okehampton. He proposes that there should be a sub-divisional headquarters, and certain other facilities, at Okehampton.
