HL Deb 22 May 1969 vol 302 c522WA
LORD BARNBY

asked Her Majesty's Government:

When, in view of the reported forthcoming visit of a Minister to Russia, of whose policy towards Czechoslovakia there is here such widespread condemnation, it is their intention to arrange for a visit by a senior Minister to South Africa in furtherance of our most important export trade.

THE MINISTER OF STATE, BOARD OF TRADE (LORD BROWN)

The possibility of such a visit is kept under review in view of the great importance we attach to our large export trade to South Africa.
