§ 54. Mr. Gardnerasked the Minister of Transport what progress his Department has made in its study of the possibility of charging for the use of heavily congested roads by motor vehicles.
§ Mr. MarshPrototype equpiment is being developed and the first will be available for exhaustive tests shortly. It will take a considerable time to work out how far a road pricing system is technically feasible and to assess the economic, social and administrative implications.
