HC Deb 04 March 1969 vol 779 cc57-8W
32. Mr. Wingfield Digby

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what approaches he has received from Governments about the calling of a new world monetary conference of the leading countries in finance; and whether it is still his policy not to participate in an international monetary conference.

Mr. Roy Jenkins

I see no present need for an international monetary conference, and have had no approaches from other Governments on the subject.
