HC Deb 04 March 1969 vol 779 c57W
10. Sir J. Langford-Holt

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he is aware that a copyright fee is paid annually to the United States of America by the British Broadcasting Corporation for the performance of the game of 20 Questions, which game has been played in Great Britain for 200 years; and whether he will withhold exchange control in respect of this payment.

Mr. Harold Lever

As I told the hon. Member in reply to a similar Question on 25th June, 1968, there are no exchange control restrictions on current payments of this kind.—[Vol. 767, c. 224–5.]
