§ 56. Sir D. Rentonasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government what was the total cost of preparing and publishing the full-page official Press advertisement which appeared in the Evening News on 17th June, 1969, giving photographs and addresses of 36 local rent officers in England, most of them being at places where that newspaper has a minimal circulation.
§ Mr. MacCollIt is not possible to identify the cost of preparing this single advertisement since its production formed part of the preliminaries for a major advertising campaign in selected national Sunday and daily papers and other journals. However, the cost of placing the advertisement in the Evening News was £3,250.
