§ 31. Mr. Murtonasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government to what extent the acquisition by the Land Commission of building land has reduced the price; and whether he will make a statement.
§ Mr. K. RobinsonThis cannot be quantified; but by helping to make more land available for development where the pressure is greatest the Land Commission should help to moderate increases in land prices.

§ 42. Mr. Evelyn Kingasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government what estimate he has made of the acreage of land to be acquired by the Land Commission by 1975.
§ Mr. K. RobinsonThe Commission have authorised the acquisition of some 5,600 acres and the possible acquisition of a further 22,500 acres is under consideration. I cannot give a reliable estimate of the acreage which may be acquired by 1975 since this depends upon a number of factors, some of which are outside the Commission's control.
§ 45. Mr. Hastingsasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government how many civil servants at present employed by the Land Commission have applied for transfer.
§ Mr. K. RobinsonThe total number of applicants is not readily available as some staff apply for more than one post, but 272 transfers have been arranged since 1st January, 1968.
