HC Deb 12 June 1969 vol 784 c301W
Q9. Mr. Shinwell

asked the Prime Minister what representations he has received to date from indivioual members of trade unions on the subject of industrial relations; and what is the content of these representations.

The Prime Minister

Since the publication of the White Paper "In Place of Strife" I have received a large number of letters on industrial relations from members of the public, but, as my right hon. Friend will appreciate, it is in most cases impossible to say whether or not these are members of trade unions. I can, however, assure my right hon. Friend that by far the majority of the letters have been in favour of the Government's proposals.
