HC Deb 25 July 1969 vol 787 cc497-8W
Captain Kerby

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food why in- formation based on selective employment tax refunds is passed by his officials to servants of the Agricultural, Horticultural and Forestry Training Board; and if he will direct that this practice shall now cease.

Mr. John Mackie

In order to assist them in compiling a register of employers, my Department has provided the Agricultural, Horticultural and Forestry Industry Training Board with the names and addresses of establishments on our registers. No information about numbers of employees or payments made is involved. Such aid to the board will also help it to reduce its administrative costs.

The answer to the second part of the Question is therefore "no".
