§ Mr. CallaghanThe police have been assisted by new legislative measures; by the introduction of new methods of policing; by new equipment—including, over the past four years, 5,000 vehicles and 20,000 pocket radios; and by growing strength of numbers which will, I hope, reach 93,600 by 31st March, 1970.
