§ 91. Mr. Andersonasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement on the Government's policy towards increasing the number of exchange programmes between younger businessmen, trade unionists, professional men and educationists and their counterparts in the member states of the European Economic Community.
§ Mr. FoleyI would refer my hon. Friend to the reply of my hon. Friend the Under-Secretary of State to the hon. Member for Lewisham, South (Mr. Carol Johnson) on 9th June. Her Majesty's Government believe exchanges of this kind between young people with common career or professional motivations to be a very valuable form of youth interchange.— [Vol. 784, c. 183–4.]
