§ 41. Mr. Albert Robertsasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government if he will take steps to expedite the public inquiry into the proposed lengthening of the runway at Leeds-Bradford Airport, in view of the need to establish a jet plane service.
§ Mr. K. RobinsonI understand that the local authorities intend to make a compulsory purchase order for part of the land required for the runway extension. It is desirable that a single public inquiry should cover both the planning application and the compulsory purchase order. I will arrange a date for an inquiry as soon as the order is made.
