HC Deb 04 July 1969 vol 786 c146W
Mr. Biggs-Davison

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what has been the additional cost to date to public funds of extra consular and other staff and activities connected with the enforcement of sanctions against Rhodesia.

Mr. Foley

The information requested is not readily available and could not be obtained without disproportionate expenditure of time and effort. No extra staff, however, has been recruited by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office for the enforcement of sanctions against Rhodesia apart from one additional Consular Officer at Beira, whose temporary employment has now ceased.
