§ Mr. Ifor DaviesMy right hon. Friend announced in October, 1968, that a scheme for extending the M4 from Tredegar Park, Newport, to St. Mellons, Cardiff, was being added to the trunk road preparation pool. This indicated its high priority in our future plans. When preparatory work is well advanced consideration will be given to including the scheme in the firm programme.
