§ Mrs. Gwyneth DunwoodyGovernment grants under the Local Employment Acts represented about £1 per head of the population in the financial year 1965–66 and something under £2 in 1966–67. In 1967–68 the figure was about £10; this includes investment grants under the Industrial Development Act, which were first made in this year. In the period 43 Board of Trade advance factories have been completed and three are under construction.
