What was the expenditure on new prison buildings for the accommodation of prisoners during 1968.
§ LORD STONHAMIt is estimated that in 1968–69 the total capital expenditure on buildings for the Prison Service in England and Wales will be £6–8 million, including £3.31 million for additional accommodation and improvements to existing accommodation for inmates at prisons, borstals and detention centres. The corresponding figures for 1967–68 were £5.2 million and £3.01 million.
