StewartThere are several international bodies in which the Governments of the European Economic Community countries and of those applying to join the European Economic Community already discuss international monetary questions. Recently suggestions have been made to improve European co-operation in monetary matters and, as my right hon. Friend the Chancellor of the Exchequer made clear at the recent meeting of the Council of Europe, we welcome these suggestions.
