§ Mr. Boyd-Carpenterasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether, in the case of nationalised industries, in which an appreciable proportion of their running costs is provided out of moneys provided by Parliament, he will direct the Ministers concerned to reconsider their decisions not to answer Parliamentary Questions relating to the standard of service given by the industries to the public.
§ Mr. DiamondNo. But in those cases where specific grants are paid to support individual services, Ministers will be prepared to answer Questions on the standard of service provided insofar as this depends on the level of Government grant.
