§ Mr. M. StewartI had a most useful informal discussion on 1st February with the Secretary-General of the United Nations, who was on his way to Addis Ababa. We talked mostly about the Middle East situation and recent diplomatic moves in this connection including the French proposal for a meeting of the four major permanent members of the Security Council.
