Mr. Shinwellasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what is Her Majesty's Government's policy regarding acceptance of Article 48 of the Treaty of Rome, which provides for persons seeking and obtaining employment to move freely and remain permanently in any of the member States.
§ Mr. MulleyAs was explained in the debates which preceded our application to join the European Economic Community in May, 1967, we do not anticipate undue difficulties in accepting Article 48 of the Treaty of Rome.
