HC Deb 03 February 1969 vol 777 c41W
Mr. Goodhew

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science how many university students abandoned their courses in each of the last five years; what percentage of each annual intake these figures represent; and what are the main reasons for abandonment given to his Department.

Mrs. Shirley Williams

Annual figures are not available. The latest published information relates to students who would normally have been expected to qualify in 1966 and is in the University Grants Committee'sInquiry into Student Progress, 1968, published by Her Majesty's Stationery Office.
