asked the Postmaster-General, (1) how many times from 1st July 1968 to 1st February 1969, inclusive, telephone numbers in the Fence Houses Exchange, County Durham, have been out of order; and what was the reason for these disconnections.

(2) what was the longest period, without weather interference, that telephone subscribers in County Durham have been disconnected for technical reasons, from 1st July 1968 to 1st February 1969, inclusive; and what was the reason for the disconnection.

(3) what is the policy of his Department regarding the giving of warning to telephone subscribers when for technical reasons it plans to disconnect their telephones for a period of several days.

(4) how long various telephones in the Fence Houses Exchange, County Durham, were out of order in the week
