§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Attorney General whether he has received the obscene literature forwarded to him by the hon. Member for West Ham, North which was sent unsolicited to a nurse in Newham; and whether he will refer it to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
§ The Attorney-GeneralPolice inquiries are continuing into the distribution of the circular to which the hon. Member is referring. When they are completed, the Director of Public Prosecutions and I will consider whether proceedings under the Obscene Publications Acts or other legislation are justified.
