§ Mrs. Ewingasked the Secretary of State for Scotland what specific improvements have been made in the type of housing offered to policemen in Scotland to attract more manpower; and if he will carry out a study of the impact of housing arrangements on the present shortage.
§ Mr. RossThe type of police housing is a matter for police authorities but I understand from Her Majesty's Inspector of Constabulary that the standard of houses is in general good and that there is no reason to suppose that it is unattractive to recruits.
