asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science whether he is satisfied with the progress made towards implementing the raising of the school leaving age to 16 years; and what representations he has had from organisations asking him to delay implementation.

Yes. Good progress is being made in teacher supply, provision of buildings and curriculum development. Representations from one organisation, the National Women Citizens' Association, were made in May this year.
