§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Minister of Technology whether he is aware that since the establishment of the National Coal Board many pits have been closed and many workers, both industrial and non-industrial, have been made redundant, whereas the salaries and expenses of the Board have risen; and whether, in view of the Government's policy of reducing expenditure, he will take action to reduce the cost of administration by reducing the membership of the Board, their salaries and expenses.
