asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he will make arrangements for the renegotiation of fixed price contracts entered into by Government Departments, in view of the recent increase in the price of stainless steel caused by the nickel strikes in Canada.

I have no evidence to justify general price concessions on Government contracts affected by the increase in stainless steel prices.
