§ 65. Mr. Ashtonasked the Minister of Transport why there is delay in completing the reconstruction of the Canal Bridge at Shireoaks, Worksop, by British Waterways; and when he expects the work to be finished.
§ Mr. MurrayThe delay is mainly due to the large number of sub-standard canal bridges which require construction.
I am advised that the board is currently putting proposals to the highway authority in connection with improvement works and that subject to these being accepted the reconstruction will be completed by mid-1970.
