HC Deb 02 December 1969 vol 792 c229W
6. Mr. Dalyell

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer how many qualified tax inspectors have left the Inland Revenue to take jobs in private law firms, banking, insurance and allied professions over any convenient period in the last three years; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. William Rodgers

In 1968, the last year for which complete figures are available, 8 fully trained inspectors of taxes in all grades resigned to take up other employment. The corresponding figures for 1967 and 1966 are 18 and 11 respectively.
