HC Deb 02 December 1969 vol 792 c268W
Dr. Gray

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he will lift the ban on visitors to this country wishing to study scientology at Christmas.

Mr. Merlyn Rees

My right hon. Friend does not propose to alter the existing arrangements at present.

Dr. Gray

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he will lift the ban on Mr. Ronald Hubbard and his family prohibiting their visiting scientologists in this country for Christmas.

Mr. Merlyn Rees

My right hon. Friend is not prepared to admit Mr. Hubbard. If members of his family wish to come here, they should first apply to the appropriate British representative overseas, and any such application would be carefully considered.
