HC Deb 02 December 1969 vol 792 cc255-6W
Mr. William Hamilton

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will make a statement on the representations he has received in the last month on the question of nurses' remuneration.

Dr. John Dunwoody

My right hon. Friend has received about 30,000 signed copies of the printed campaign letters as distributed by the Royal College of Nursing and published in the Press, and over 1,000 other letters. On the pay claim itself, I would refer my hon. Friend to my right hon. Friend's reply on 25th November to my hon. Friend the Member for Coatbridge and Airdrie (Mr. Dempsey).—[Vol. 792, c.78–9.]
