§ Mr. VarleyThere are no present plans for an advance factory at Towyn, but the250W needs of the area will be borne in mind, together with those of the rest of the Welsh Development Area.
§ Mr. William Edwardsasked the Minister of Technology whether he will seek to establish an advance factory in Blaenau Ffestiniog in view of the decline of the slate industry, impending redundancies in other industries and the fact that this area has amongst the highest percentage of permanently unemployed men in the United Kingdom.
§ Mr. VarleyWe are aware of the situation in Blaenau Ffestiniog, and the needs of the area will be considered in any future advance factory programme.
