§ 46. Mr. Milneasked the Minister of Transport if he will give consideration to including the A1 and A68 roads from Newcastle to Edinburgh on the priority list for improvement, in view of the importance of promoting industrial development in North-East England and South-East Scotland.
Mr. Bob BrownThe Green Paper on Highway Strategy invites suggestions for such priority routes and we will consider these from my hon. Friend.
Roads in Scotland are a matter for my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State with whom we are in close touch on these roads.
