§ Mr. Dempseyasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if, in view of the fact that many hospitals do not have joint consultative committees, he will encourage 36W hospital authorities to set up such committees.
§ Mr. RossWhile I welcome the establishment of such committees, I regard this as essentially a matter for local discussion in the light of local circumstances. Agreed arrangements exist to cover the formation of such committees under which staff or management interests can initiate action to establish or revive a committee where one does not now operate.
