HC Deb 15 April 1969 vol 781 c241W
Mr. Chichester-Clark

asked the Postmaster-General why copies of the speech of the Chairman of the National Coal Board made on 26th March in Londonderry, to be checked against delivery and posted by first-class mail in London on 24th March, did not reach Londonderry until 27th March.

Mr. Joseph Slater

We do not keep records of the movement of individual letters through the post, and as the envelopes are not available I have been unable to confirm that the letters were posted at the first class rate or to make any useful inquiries.
