§ Mr. John MackieComprehensive records of reclamation are not available but in the Wash area some 8,800 acres have been reclaimed for agriculture since 1920, and 135 acres are currently being reclaimed in the Humber. In addition, small areas of land have been reclaimed for industrial use. It is not known how much land has been lost by erosion.
