Agreement has been reached between Her Majesty's Government and the executors of the estate of the late Thomas Gambier Parry for the aceptance in part satisfaction of estate duty of the painting by Le Nain known as "The Gamblers". The cost to the National Land Fund, after allowing for Estate Dtuy exemption, is £26,500. The advice of the Standing Commission on Museums and Galleries was sought on 133W its disposal and it has now been decided that the picture should be given to the National Museum of Wales.
