Mr. Allasonasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department, to what extent the proposed Commission on the Constitution will overlap with the work undertaken by the Royal Commission on Local Government, the four local 171W government boundary commissions and the Parliamentary Boundary Commission.
§ Mr. CallaghanIt is intended that the Commission on the Constitution will take account of developments, including those resulting from the reports of the Royal Commissions on Local Government. There will be no overlap with the Parliamentary Boundary Commissions. The local government boundary commissions no longer exist.
