Mr. Peyton

asked the President of the Board of Trade if he will circulate in the OFFICIAL REPORT a table showing the imports, both quantity and value, of cheese described as Cheddar from Australia, Canada, the Irish Republic and the Netherlands to the nearest convenient date during 1968, and the same details for corresponding periods in each of the last three years.

Cheddar cheese was not separately distinguished in the trade statistics prior to 1968. Imports in the period January to September, 1968 were as follows:
