§ Mr. Merlyn ReesProvisional figures indicate that in England and Wales during the first six months of this year 9,007 cases were brought before magistrates'222W courts, and 206 were tried in higher courts, for offences under Part I of the Road Safety Act 1967 or section 6 of the Road Traffic Act 1960. The number of these cases in which the accused was a motor cyclist is not known.
