But the total value of financial assistance in Scotland paid by the Board of Trade in the year ended 31st March, 1968, was £16.2 million under the Local Employment Acts, 1960–66, and £43.8 million in the form of investment grants (excluding investment grants on ships) The corresponding figures for the six months ended 30th September, 1968, were £6.6 million and £25.9 million, respectively.
