asked the President of the Board of Trade why Greece, which is an associate member of the European Economic Community, has not been accorded the same terms on cotton quotas as has been granted to other European Economic Community countries by Her Majesty's Government.

We are entitled under our international obligations to impose restrictions on imports of low-cost cotton textiles which are causing or threatening market disruption Imports from Greece were causing such disruption; those from the E.E.C. were not.
