asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what reply he has sent to the Hong Kong Government's request for guarantees from Great Britain against further losses of its sterling reserves through devaluation of the pound, in view of its present £350 million reserves in Great Brtain.

Discussions about the financial affairs of Hong Kong have been taking place with the Governor and an announcement should be made shortly.
