HC Deb 14 May 1968 vol 764 cc219-20W
37. Mr. Bruce-Gardyne

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer, whether, in view of the existing and prospective strains on the world monetary systems, he will take the initiative in calling for a new Bretton Woods conference.

1966 and 1967 given in the reply by my right hon. Friend the Chief Secretary to the hon. Member's Question on 13th February last have been revised and are now estimated at £387, £390, £393 respectively. Following these revisions, the annual average increase for the period 1964–67 is now estimated at 1.0 per cent. I regret that corresponding figures of incomes per household are not available. —[Vol. 747, c. 313–4.]
