§ 39. Mr. Lubbockasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will list in the OFFICIAL REPORT the assignments given by Government Departments and nationalised industries to American management consultants since October, 1964; and if he will instruct Ministers concerned to ensure that in future British management consultants are invited to submit proposals for such assignments.
§ Mr. Harold LeverI will list the six assignments given by Government Departments to American management consultants since April, 1965 out of a total of 80 consultants' assignments; it is normal practice for Departments to seek proposals from British consultants.
Full information about management consultants employed by nationalised industries is not readily available and this is in any case a matter within their managerial discretion.
