HC Deb 04 March 1968 vol 760 c1W
23. Mr. Brewis

asked the Minister of Social Security what estimate she has made of the number of men unemployed who are at present receiving more in social security payments than they could reasonably expect to earn in their home districts.

Mrs. Hart

It is not possible to make a reliable estimate but the proportion is likely to be small. It will vary, of course, according to the level of wages paid in the home district.
