§ 35. Mr. David Watkinsasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government what representations about the level of rent can, under the regulations, be entertained by the rent officer from the licensed occupant of a house for which the landlord is making application for a certificate of fair rent.
§ Mr. MacCollCertificates of fair rent fix the rent which will be payable for a house when it is let to a tenant on a regulated tenancy. Only where an occupier of the house already falls into this category does the procedure entitle him to make representations to the rent officer.
