§ Mr. Buchanan-Smithasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he is aware that charges for the carriage of fruit by passenger train are 20 per cent. higher than a year ago and that this increases the costs of fruit growers in Scotland; and what action he proposes to take to assist fruit growers.
§ Mr. RossI would refer the hon. Member to the reply given to him on 25th July by my right hon. Friend the Minister of Transport. I have no powers to assist fruit growers with their transport costs.
